[Photo Diary] May/Mayo and June/Junio 2024
Greetings from a bus. I am somewhere between Xixon and Santander. I was visiting my good friend, Fabien and his lovely family in Xixon. Now, I am on the way to a summer school to learn traditional making methods like resin casting, screen printing, welding etc in Santander. I was able to take a few days off from work.
This habit of taking pictures seems to be wearing off. I was too busy these months on projects, theatre, and other things. I will push to click more pictures this July.
I am very grateful to the people I met these months. I did lose touch with three dear friends who do not wish to remain in touch. I think, accepting that is a part of growing up and that makes space for new friends.
If life is a river with small and big rocks in its flow. I often feel that my natural tendency is to get hold of a rock and not let it go. Afraid of hitting a rock that I may not like, I stick to a rock (metaphor for social situation, work situation, or mood) that I do not like, and that costs me rocks that I may like which I never hit as I am too busy trying for this rock to like me. En fin!
Our neighbourhood go-karting team that I often go and support.
The neighbourhood cat who often gets out in the morning to "Tomar sol". This is the most Spanish cat I have ever seen. Too bad she does not tan at all.
BSOD in the wild.
Our local winged rats looking to find new ways to be a menace.
A good sunny day for a hike in Cercedilla.
More Cercedilla, trying the Schmidt's route and enjoying Gustav's homemade burgers.
Locals lining up to see the Madrid city from the hills. The did not see anything as it was all polluted.
My cool friend, Gustav. If you are looking for a kickass designer who really understands how things get made. Ask me to put you in touch with him.
The hike in Cercedilla was a great highlight. We descended from an unknown path into a small route where so old women maintain beautiful gardens. I think it is on the route of C-9 cercanias from Cercedilla to Cotos.
My prototypes for an exhibition in one of the most coveted museums in Europe, The national museum of Reina Sofia, Madrid.
I will write a long post on this soon.
A side project I invented to learn sales, street selling, and social media marketing. Currently recovering from all the initial rejection.
I did a secret weekend project that made it to the TV in Spain. Second national TV appearance for my projects....and... no one knows, it was me.
One of my favorite place to sit, read, and write code. I wont tell you where it is. You probably know. If you do, lets keep it amongst us.
Very grateful to be invited to a 50 year birthday celebration of a friend from my theatre group— Jota. I am always very humbled when people invite me to calm close gathering. It makes me feel less of a foreigner.
Have a great summer. Break some norms when to get back.
